Constructed of bronze, the obverse with a raised rightward-facing profile of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, circumscribed by name and title in Latin, the reverse with a central inscription of “RERUM COGNOSCERE CAUSAS” (“TO KNOW THE CAUSES OF THINGS”), below an inscription of “ACADEMIA SCIENTIARUM BOICA” (“ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES”), the obverse marked “C. VOIGT”, measuring 47.97 mm in diameter, weighing 38.6 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
