1817-1818 Issue. (Militärdenkzeichen für 1813, 1814). A bronze cross; the obverse inscribed with the royal monogram om Maximilian Joseph I, inscribed “Für die Jahre 1813 und 1814” (German - For the Years 1813 and 1814) on the arms of the cross; the reverse bearing a Bavarian rampant lion, inscribed “König und Vaterland” (German - King and Fatherland); on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon; measuring 31.7 mm (w) x 37.5 mm (h); in extremely fine condition.
