Braunschweig, Dukedom. An Ernst August Cross
(Ernst-August-Kreuz). Constructed of blackened bronze, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central monogram of Ernst August flanked by oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with a date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 41.21 mm (w) x 41.45 mm (h), weighing 18.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
