A pair of First World War decorations, including a Cross for Medical Workers, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a rounded Arrow Cross, the obverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR PFLEGE DER SOLDATEN 1914” (“FOR THE CARE OF SOLDIERS”), the reverse bearing a central monogram surrounded by a date of ‘DEN 25TEN AUGUST 1870”, unmarked, measuring 41.12 mm (w) x 45.48 mm (h), weighing 18.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition, and; a War Honour Decoration, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a crowned monogram of Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig, the reverse bearing a wreathed inscription of “KRIEGS-EHREN-ZEICHEN” (“WAR HONOUR DECORATION”), unmarked, measuring 24.98 mm in diameter, weighing 8.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
