What's a max bid?

Hohenlohe, Principality. An Order of the Golden Flame, Grand Cross Star, c. 1880

(Hausorden von der Goldenen Flamme). Instituted on 25 December 1757. A French manufactured eight-point star in silver with clusters of five faceted rays, the obverse medallion features a silver gilt Maltese cross with flames in each quadrant, the center presents a blue enamelled field with the motto IN SENIO (In Old Age), the reverse presents a single pin assembly with dual stays, measures 87.5mm (w) x 86.5mm (h), weighs 63.9 grams, a lovely star with intact enamels and very minimal wear, in near mint condition.

 

Footnote: This Order was founded by Prince Philipp Ernst I, and it was originally conferred upon the male and female descendants of the Prince in an effort to foster bonds of kinship and friendship.
