Lippe-Schaumberg, Principality. An Order of Arts and Science, Class I, c.1905
(Orden fur Kunst und WIssenschaft). Instituted 23 October 1899. A gilt silver Maltese cross paty with green and red enamel wreath between the arms, obverse centre bears a shield with three arrows pointing outwards from the corners, encompassed by blue enamel and gilt inscription “FUR KUNST UND WISSENSCHAFT” (FOR ART AND SCIENCE), the reverse bears a crowned cipher “G” for Georg, Prince of Schaumberg-Lippe, on a crown suspension with a red ribbon with yellow stripes, measuring 40.60 mm (w) x 40.30 mm (h), very fine.
