Lübeck, Free City. A Loyalty in the Service Table Medal, c.1933
A circular table medal constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse bears the Lübeck coat of arms encompassed by arabesque details, circumscribed with “DER SENAT DER FREIEN UND HANSESTADT LÜBECK” (THE SENATE OF THE FREE AND HANSEATIC CITY OF LÜBECK), the reverse bears the inscription “DEM HILFS BAHNWÄRTER FRIEDRICH JÜRS FÜR TREUE IM DIENSTE 4 JANUAR 1933” (TO THE RAILWORKER FRIEDRICH JÜRS FOR FAITHFUL SERVICES 4 JANUARY 1933), encompassed by an oak leaf wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, measuring 50.93 mm, very fine.
