An original presentation case of issue for a House Order of the Wendish Crown, Grand Cross set, constructed of dark-reddish brown leatherette, the obverse is embossed in golden with the crowned monogram, the interior presents a purple satin lining, maker marked H. Rose Grossherzogl. Hofjuwelier Schwerin i. M., with an intact hinge cover, a slotted purple felt medal bed, with three functional clasps, measuring 16 cm (w) x 29 cm (l) x 6.5 cm (h), presenting mild wear and damage, with repaired hinge that opens 50%, otherwise good.
This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps.
