A round silver medal; the obverse depicting the rightward facing bust of Friedrich Franz, circumscribed by his name and title; the reverse depicting the royal crowned coat of arms, circumscribed “PER ASPERA AD ASTRA”; on a horizontally stretched loop for suspension from its period original ribbon; measuring 29.21 mm in diameter; weighing 10.8 grams; in overall very fine condition.
