Oldenburg, Grand Duchy. A House & Merit Order of Peter Frederick Louis, II Class Honour Cross
                (Oldenburger Haus- und Verdienstorden-Ehrenkreuz II .Klasse). Instituted 27 November 1838 by Paul Friedrich August. (1838-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central monogram of Peter Frederick Louis, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN GOTT, EIN RECHT, EINE WAHRHEIT” (“ONE GOD, ONE RIGHTEOUSNESS, ONE TRUTH”), the reverse with a central Oldenburg coat of arms, unmarked, measuring 33.65 mm (w) x 38.05 mm (h), weighing 14.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
