Prussia, Kingdom. An Order of the Crown, II Class in Gold, by Gebrüder Friedländer
                (Königlicher Kronen-Orden Kreuz II. Klasse in Gold). Instituted 18 October 1861 by King Wilhelm I. (1869-1916 issue). Constructed of Gold with silver and multi-coloured enamels, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a Gold frame and white enameled arms highlighting with gilt borders, the obverse bearing a central gilded silver medallion with a raised royal crown, within a ring of blue enamels bearing a gilt inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) and arabesques, the reverse bearing a central gilded silver medallion with a raised monogram of King Wilhelm I, within a ring of blue enamels bearing an institution date of “DEN 18 OCTOBER 1861” with arabesques, the twelve o’clock arm with an integral loop and suspension ring, maker marked between the three and six o’clock quadrant with “FR” for Gebrüder Friedländer, Berlin, measuring 51.40 mm (w) x 55.98 mm (h), weighing 19.4 grams, with minor tarnishing and flecking evident to the gilt and enameled features, respectively, in extremely fine condition.
