Constructed of gilt bronze with white enameled arms, with crossed swords and a metal wreath between the arms of the cross, the obverse with a central orange medallion, the reverse plain, with a vertical hinge and a functional hinge/catch, marked “Ges. Gesch.” on the reverse, measuring 44.90 mm (w) x 44.92 mm (h), with some small enamel repair in the top left corner of the twelve o’clock arm and scattered fine hairline scracks in the enamels on the six o’clock arm, in overall very fine condition.
