Silver frame and black, red, and white enamels; measuring 33 mm x 33 mm; on ribbon for suspension; with original ribbon (slightly soiled); slight chipping of the enamels on the top of the red cross; otherwise very fine condition.
Footnote: The Ehrenkreuz für Frauen und Jungfrauen was created on March 22, 1871 by Kaiser Wilhelm I of Prussia. The award was presented to women and girls who made sacrifices to help Prussian troops fighting in the German-Franco War (1870-1871).
