A gilded bronze, straight armed cross pattée, the obverse centre, bearing the crowned monogram of Wilhelm Rex, the reverse inscribed KRIEGSVERDIENST (MILITARY MERIT), attached to a button-back, maker marked J. GODET & SOHN, BERLIN, measuring 15.09 mm (w) x 17.57 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
