Prussia, Kingdom. An 1813 Iron Cross II Class, c. 1825
                (Eisernes Kreuz 1813 II. Klasse). Instituted 10 March 1813 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1813-1815 issue). Constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 42.78 mm (w) x 47.18 mm (h), weighing 14.6 grams, oxidation and loss of finish is evident throughout the core and a crack is visible to the twelve o’clock arm, in fair condition.
