In Gold with a deep black enameled four armed cross, Gold boardering, obverse centre applique presenting the cypher of Queen Louise (née Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie, Herzogin zu Mecklenburg-Strelitz), wife of Frederick William III of Prussia, in blue enamels and surround by seven stars, reverse centre with initial institution date 1813 1814 in blue enamels, measuring 32 mm (w) x 35 mm (h - inclusive of integral ring suspension), weighing 9.3 grams, with only light enamel wear, accompanied by original fragile silk ribbon, extremely fine.
