An Early French Made Prussian Order of the Red Eagle 3rd Class
A fine quality circa 1880 manufacture Order of the Red Eagle 3rd Class; the cross pattée in gold and fine white enamels; the obverse with a centre medallion in white enamels with a finely detailed red eagle with the wings stretched upwards; surrounded by a golden ring; the reverse with a similar centre medallion with the crown cypher in gold; the ribbon with a french-style “lily/rosette” on a period original ribbon with a double-prong pin (possibly indicating manufacture for a Belgian/Russian recipient); measuring 40.31 mm x 40.38 mm; near extremely fine condition.
