Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with an inscription of “VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT” (“SERVICE TO THE STATE”) within a laurel wreath, the reverse with a monogram of Friedrich Wilhelm III, unmarked, measuring 39.30 mm in diameter, weighing 22.7 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux black leather exterior, with a padded black satin lid liner and a slotted black velvet medal bed, opening with a functional bronze spring catch with exterior stud release and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 68 mm (w) x 55 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
