Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of King Wilhelm I, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of “DEM BESTEN SCHÜTZEN” (“TO THE BEST MARKSMEN”), within an oak leaf wreath, the obverse marked “E. WEIGAND FEC.”, for Emil Weigand, Berlin, measuring 40.18 mm in diameter, weighing 36.8 grams, denting evident around the edges, in overall very fine condition.
