(Erinnerungsmedaille für Rettung aus Gefahr, I. Form). Instituted 23 September 1833 by Kaiser Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1833-1870 issue). Constructed of silver, the obverse with a central leftward-facing profile of Kaiser Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR” (“FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER”), within an oak leaf wreath, the obverse maker marked “G. LOOS” and “F. PFEUFFER”, measuring 50.47 mm in diameter, weighing 56.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
