Prussia, Kingdom. A Miniature Order of the Crown, IV Class, c.1900
(Königlicher Kronen-Orden, IV. Klasse Miniatur). Instituted 18 October 1861 by Kaiser Wilhelm I. (1861-1918 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central raised crown within a blue enameled ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD IS WITH US”), the reverse with a central raised monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, surrounded by an inscription of “DEN 18 OKTOBER”, unmarked, measuring 15.14 mm (w) x 17.04 mm (h), weighing 1.4 grams, in extremely fine condition.
