(Roter Adlerorden Kreuz 4. Klasse Miniatur). Instituted 12 June 1792 by King Frederick William II of Prussia. (1854-1879 Issue). Constructed of silver with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, presenting as a Cross Pattée with bordered arms, obverse with central red enamel Brandenburg eagle (“Brandenburgischer Adler”) on white enamel background, reverse with central raised monogram of Frederick William II of Prussia, unmarked, measuring 21.82 mm (w) x 24.82 mm (h) and weighing 3.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
