Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with the monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II above a date of “1912”, the reverse with an inscription of “VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT” (“SERVICE TO THE STATE”) within a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 39.57 mm in diameter, weighing 33.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
