Prussia, State. A Cased Medal for Long Years of Loyal Service from the Chamber of Agriculture
(Treudienstmedaille der Landwirtschaftskammer der Provinz Ostpreussen). A round silver medal; the obverse depicting a maiden walking through a fruitful yard, circumscribed “LANDWIRTSCHAFTSKAMMER FÜR DIE PROVINZ OSTPREUSSEN” (German - Chamber of Agriculture of East Prussia); the reverse inscribed “FÜR LANGJÄHRIGE TREUE DIENSTE” (German - For Long Years of Loyal Service) within a laurel wreath; on a loop for suspension; marked “990” and “Silber” on the edge of the medal; measuring 42.50 mm in diameter; weighing 30.2 grams. Accompanied by its case of issue; constructed of heavy cardstock with a faux leather (leatherette) exterior; the exterior embossed with the Prussian eagle and “Landwirtschaftskammer für die Provinz Ostpreussen” in gold lettering; with a lined interior lid, marked “Wratzke & Steiger - Hofjuwiliere u. Edelschmiede Halle a.S” in gold lettering; with a recessed medal bed, intact interior fabric hinge cover, spring catch with stud release and functional exterior metal hinge; measuring 71 mm (w) x 71 mm (h); in overall very fine condition.
