Reuss, County. A Princely Honour Cross in Gold, I Class, c.1910

(Fürstrlich Reußisches Ehrenkreuz 1. Klasse). Issued 1869-1918. A Gold Maltese cross with silver rays coming from the center of the cross; the obverse with a red enameled central medallion depicting a gold crowned coat of arms of Reuss, surrounded by a gold ring; the reverse with a black enameled central medallion depicting a gold crowned royal cipher of Heinrich, surrounded by a gold ring; on a loop for suspension from its shortened period original neck ribbon; measuring 50.81 mm (w) x 50.43 mm (g); weighing 21.5 grams, in overall extremely fine condition.
