Reuss, Principality. A Silver Medal of Merit, c.1900
                (Silberne Verdienstmedaille). Instituted 1885 by Prince Heinrich XIV. (1885-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a monogram of Prince Heinrich XIV, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR VERDIENST” (“FOR MERIT”) inside of a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 32.67 mm in diameter, weighing 17.0 grams, in better than very fine condition.
