Reuss, Principality. A Silver Medal of Merit, c.1910
                (Silberne Verdienstmedaille). Instituted 1885 by Prince Heinrich XIV. (1885-1918 issue). A circular medal constructed of silver, the obverse bears the crowned cipher “HR” of Prince Heinrich, the reverse bears the inscription “FÜR VERDIENST” (FOR MERIT) encompassed by a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, unmarked, on suspension loop, measuring 32.27 mm (w) x 36.41 mm (h), weighing 12.7 g, very fine.
