Saxe-Altenburg, Duchy. A Long Service Decoration for Domestic Service, c.1900
(Ehrenauszeichnung für Dienstboten für langjährige treue Dienstleistung) Instituted 16 September 1886. Type I. A cross trefle constructed of silver, the obverse centre bears two intertwined letter “Es”, the reverse centre bears the number “30” and is circumscribed with “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE), the arms of the obverse and reverse have raised graduated edges, the centre of the arms have a strip of raised points, and the shamrock shaped ends have three raised details, arabesques sit in the quadrants between the cross arms, measuring 44.35 mm (w) x 49.05 mm (h), weighing 26.1 g, with loop for suspension on a green and white ribbon bow, very fine.
