(Goldene Verdienstmedaille des Herzoglich Sachsen-Ernestinischen Hausordens). Instituted in 1833. Two-piece construction, in silver, weighing 4.5 grams, unmarked, measuring 34.5 mm (w) x 19 mm (h), light contact, spotting, better than very fine.
