A well-preserved and razor-sharp studio portrait of Duke Alfred of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, depicted in uniform and wearing a variety of decorations, including the Order of the Golden Fleece, the House Order of Hohenzollern, and an extensive medal bar, above a handwritten autograph, the obverse with a studio mark of “HOFPHOT. PROFESSOR UHLENHUTH, COBURG”, measuring 108 mm (w) x 165 mm (h), with only minor discolouration evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
