Großherzoglich Sächsischer Hausorden vom Weißen Falken, Großkreuz). Issued 1815-1918. A silver eight armed star, each arm composed of multiple smooth rays, obverse with a central Gold raised medallion with a small leftward facing white enameled falcon, surrounded by a Gold knurled ring and a wide blue enameled ring of enamels inscribed “VIGILANDO ASCENDIMUS” (Latin - We rise through watchfulness), surrounded by an additional gold knurled ring, all superimposed on a gold green enameled Maltese cross also set in Gold, silver gilt swords that pierce order body, reverse with visible rivets, with a vertical pinback and a functional hinge/catch assembly; marked “Th. Müller, Weimar”, measuring 85 mm (w) x 85 mm (h), with light enamel contact to eagle, otherwise extremely fine.
