Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, Grand Duchy. A General Merit Medal in Bronze 1914
(Allgemeines-Ehrenzeichen in Bronze 1914). Instituted 1914 by Grand Duke Wilhelm Ernst. (1914-1919). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a raised leftward-facing profile of Grand Duke Wilhelm Ernst, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central inscription of “DEM VERDIENST 1914” (“FOR MERIT 1914”), within an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 35.08 mm in diameter, weighing 20.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
