Saxe-Weimar, Grand Duchy. A General Honour Decoration, Gold Grade with Swords Clasp
(Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen). A round gilded war material medal, the obverse depicting the leftward facing bust of Wilhelm Ernst, circumscribed by his name and title, the reverse inscribed DEM VERDIENSTE 1914 (FOR MERIT 1914) within an oak wreath, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with a sword clasp, measuring 35.10 mm in diameter, and in overall very fine condition.
