Saxony. A Silver Merit Medal with Swords and 1914/7 Clasp
(Silberne Verdienstmedaille mit Schwerterspange 1914/7). A round silver medal; the obverse depicting a rightward facing bust of Carl Eduard, circumscribed by his name and title; the reverse depicting the outline of a the Royal House Order, circumscribed “FIDELITER ET CONSTANTER” (Latin - Faithfully and uniformly); mounted on a period original ribbon featuring a clasp with crossed swords and the date “1914-7”; measuring 30.17 mm in diameter; in overall near very fine condition.
