(Erinnerungskreuz 1866). Instituted 22 May 1867 by King Johann. (1867 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with sun rays joining the quadrants, the obverse with a central monogram of King Johann, within an oak leaf wreath, with sun rays joining the quadrants, the reverse with a central date of “1866”, within an oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 30.19 mm (w) x 32.41 mm (h), weighing 10.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in better than very fine condition.
