Saxony, Kingdom. A Fire Service Decoration Bar for 25 Years
(Feuerwehr Ehrenzeichen). Instituted in 11 May 1885 by King Albert. A rectangular clasp in gilded bronze, the obverse presents a fire helmet and crossed hatchets, with a rolled up rope on the left and a hose on the right, with laurel leaves in the left corner and oak leaf leaves in the right corner, the centre features a silver Saxony coat of arms held by two lions, the reverse presents a horizontal pinback, over a green and white ribbon, measuring 43 mm (w) x 34 mm (h), and in very fine condition.
