Saxony, Kingdom. A General Honour Cross with Swords, c.1910
(Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen mit Schwertern). Instituted 31 January 1876 by King Albert. (1901-1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of an Arrow Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse with a central raised monogram of King Albert, the reverse with a central raised Saxon coat of arms, unmarked, measuring 38.46 mm (w) x 42.48 mm (h), weighing 19.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
