Saxony, Kingdom. A Landwehr Long Service Medal, II Class, c.1915
(Landwehr Dienstauszeichnung II. Klasse). Instituted 6 September 1913 by King Albert of Saxony. (1913-1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a central crown monogram of King Albert, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE RESERVE LANDWEHR” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE RESERVE LANDWEHR”), the reverse with an inscription of “LANDWEHR DIENSTAUSZEICHNUNG II. KLASSE” (“LANDWEHR LONG SERVICE BADGE II. CLASS”), unmarked, measuring 28.25 mm in diameter, weighing 11.2 grams, in better than very fine condition.
