(Medaille für Hervorragende Leistungen mit Etui). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse with a central finely-detailed Saxon coat of arms, circumscribed by an inscription of “INTERN. AUSSTG. FÜR NAHRUNGSM. ARMEEVERPFLG. INDUSTRIE GEWERBE U. SPORT”, the reverse with a central inscription of “FÜR HERVORRAGENDE LEISTUNGEN” (“FOR EXCEPTIONAL PROFICIENCY”), the obverse maker marked “LAUER” for L. Christian Lauer, Nürnberg, measuring 45.30 mm in diameter, weighing 40.1 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux maroon leather exterior liner, the interior with a red satin lid liner and intact hinge cover with a depressed red velvet medal bed, opening with a functional metal snap button and a functional metal hinge, unmarked, measuring 77 mm (w) x 75 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), some material fatigue evident to the case, in overall near extremely fine condition.
