(Ehrenkreuz für freiwillige Wohlfahrtspflege im Kriege 1914/1918). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central monogram of Friedrich August inside of a blue enameled ring, the reverse with central dates “1914/1918”, with laurel and oak leaf branches through the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 27.65 mm (w) x 32.52 mm (h), weighing 10.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
