Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central monogram of Friedrich August inside of a blue enameled ring, the reverse with central dates “1914-1916”, with laurel and oak leaf branches through the quadrants, unmarked, measuring 27.71 mm (w) x 32.64 mm (h), weighing 10.3 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
