Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Queen Carola, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “GESTIFTET ZUM 25 JÄHRIGEN BESTEHEN DES ALBERT-VEREINS IN SACHSEN, 1867-1892, FÜR HILFREICHE NÄCHSTENLIEBE” (“INSTITUTED IN THE 25TH YEAR OF THE ALBERT ORDER IN SAXONY, 1867-1892, FOR HELPFUL CHARITABLENESS”), unmarked, measuring 27.87 mm in diameter, weighing 12.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
