Saxony, Kingdom. A Silver Medal of the Military Order of St. Henry by Friedrich Ulbricht
(Silberne Medaille des Militär St. Heinrichs-Ordens). Instituted on 7 October 1736 by Augustus III. (1807-1918 Issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Friedrich August circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “VERDIENST UM DAS VATERLAND” (“SERVICE TO THE FATHERLAND” inside of a laurel wreath and above crossed cannons and standards, the obverse maker marked “F.U.” for Friedrich Ulbricht, Dresden, measuring 35.82 mm in diameter, weighing 20.4 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
