A very fine quality manufacture House Order of Schaumburg-Lippe Honour Cross; 3rd Class; maltese cross delicately crafted in gold with exquisite white, red, and blue enamels; hollow construction; the obverse with an eight-pointed gold star of sun rays imposed centrally, and with a red enameled medallion bearing the rose of Lippe in bright red enamels within a royal blue enamel ring inscribed “Für Treue und Verdienst” (For Loyalty and Merit); the reverse with a similar eight-pointed gold star of sun rays featuring a royal blue enamel medallion with a gold crown cipher of Prince Adolf Georg of Schaumburg-Lippe; with a fan and a laterally pierced ball suspension; with an additional loop and its period-original ribbon; measuring 46.25 mm x 46.70 mm; weighing 24.4 grams; near mint condition without any noticable flaws to the enamels.
