Schaumburg-Lippe, Principality. A Merit Medal, Silver Grade
(Silberne Verdienstmedaille). Instituted 25 October 1869. (1911-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, the obverse with a leftward-facing profile of Adolf II circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central coat of arms circumscribed by an inscription of “Für Treue und Verdienst” (“For Faith and Service”), marked on the edge “Silber” with a content number of “990”, measuring 32.49 mm in diameter, weighing 24.9 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
