(Charlottenkreuz). Instituted 5 January 1916. (1916-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Shamrock Cross, the obverse with a central medallion bearing the integrated monograms of King Wilhelm II and Queen Charlotte, the reverse with an analogous medallion bearing a raised date of “1916”, unmarked, measuring 40.38 mm (w) x 45.00 mm (h), weighing 14.8 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
