Württemberg, Kingdom. An 1895 Pattern Enlisted Personnel Belt Buckle
(Gürtelschnalle). Constructed of partially-silvered brass, the obverse bearing a central raised Württemberg coat of arms, set within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “FURCHTLOS UND TREW” (“FEARLESS AND LOYAL”), the reverse with a loop and swivel attachment claws, unmarked, measuring 63 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), demonstrating sporadic tarnishing and scratching to the base metal, in near extremely fine condition.
