(Friedrichs-Orden Ritterkreuz I. Klasse). Instituted on 1 January 1830. (Issued 1856-1918). A silver gilt cross pattée with white enameled arms, with sun-rays emanating between the arms of the cross, the obverse centre presents the royal cipher of Friedrich I within a bed of white enamel, circled by a gilt border, the reverse identical to the obverse, measures 35.02 mm (w) x 40.03 mm (h), weighs 21.4 grams, on a double-looped ring for suspension from period original sky-blue ribbon, and in very fine condition.
