Württemberg, Kingdom. A King Karl Jubilee Medal
(Anerkennungsmedaille der König-Karl-Jubiläumsstiftung). Instituted 1893 by Wilhelm II of Württemberg. (1893-1921 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with bronze clasp and horizontal pinback, the obverse with a rightward-facing profile of Wilhelm II of Württemberg, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of “FÜR LANGJÄHRIGE TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR LONG YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE”), above oak leaf branches and circumscribed by an inscription of “KOENIG-KARL-JUBILAEUMS-STIFTUNG” (KING KARL JUBILEE FOUNDATION”), unmarked, measuring 26.17 mm in diameter, weighing 19.6 grams (inclusive of ribbon and clasp), in very fine condition.
