What's a max bid?

(Militär-Verdienstorden, Ritterkreuz). A bronze gilt Maltese cross with white enameled arms, the obverse with a central white enameled medallion with a green enameled laurel wreath, surrounded by a broad blue enameled ring, inscribed “FURCHTLOS UND TREW” (German - Fearless and Loyal) in gilt, the reverse plain, measuring 15.36 mm (w) x 17.46 mm (h - not inclusive of integral ring); weighing 1.5 grams; extremely fine.
